About Me

Welcome!  I’m so glad you stopped by Let’s Dwell.

My name is Lisa, and I am a person whose soul MUST create to live.  (I’m dramatic.  Live well.)

I was born and raised a Southerner, but I fell in love with a Western man.  So, now I call the desert home.  Between these two extremes, I’ve also lived in big cities, small towns, and traveled internationally, which means I know a home can be created anywhere.

My Love and I have two kids who are our greatest joy and greatest challenge growth opportunity all at the same time!

I love creating because I think beauty blesses the soul.  Our surroundings play such an important role in supporting us.  The tricky part is drawing out what represents beauty and meaning for each person.  But it’s worth it, because a home you love is a powerful ally.

This blog is about how to transform a house (apartment, room, dorm, any dwelling space) into a home–a place where you love to take refuge and that consistently refuels you.  We’ll discuss tangible contributions (anyone can achieve) which compel the contented sighs that coming home ought to elicit.  My pictures and examples may showcase my style, but my focus will always be on the transferable concepts that apply to and bolster any style.

Also, check out Design 101:  posts that translate the most essential design concepts for the er . . . design-challenged or the the design-stunted, those who just need a fresh perspective.

My hope is that you are inspired and equipped to create a home in which you love to dwell.
